Term 4 reflection

What have you enjoyed the most this term and why?

• Swimming because it is nice and refreshening and I like swimming.
• Athletics because I came 1st in one of my races and can 5th in my finals and made it into HP and nearly made it into TV for 200meters.  
• Getting all of my stickers so far and seeing what the celebrations are.  

What has been challenging this term and why?

• Running the 1500 meters because on the first lap I got a bee sting.
• Art because I can’t really draw a owl on a canvas.
• Doing the workshops because the kids don’t listen at all.  

What are you looking forward to next year?

The Year 6 bike ride because I like riding my bike and going on the rail trail and going mountain biking and going on camp.

Milk bottle homework challenge

For my homework project I am making a snowman with a santa hat on it.

The eyes and mouth are going to be made out of  black pipe cleaners and the nose is going to be either orange card or orange paint.      

I am painting my bottle white and also getting my santa hat and orange card and black pipe cleaners to use.

There is one thing that I had to overcome is trying to get the sticker of the bottle without it ripping.

This is what I am thinking to make.

Carf club

🐮 Calf club

My day went good but I was very tired in the afternoon because I was a runner.

My favorite part was watching the little kids leading their calves around the obstacle course and holding the ribbons.

     

The thing that I didn’t expect happened was when one of the calves ran away when the calf was dressed up.

The challenges I faced was when one of the calves  got mad and stepped on my foot  

I overcome it by pushing it off my foot.

My Impact

My Impact

My impact group is called Moana lunchtimes group.

For my impact project I am doing the survey and the aim is to finish it.

My group have accomplished the  letter to Mr Fraser which was for permission to paint the court with games and our measurements to see how long the games that are already on there and how long the court is.

We still need to share the survey because we have not done it yet and so we can see what games the Whenua kids like so we can paint then on the court.

I enjoy looking at the court Ideas on pinterest and on other websites because there are really cool games.

There are no things that I don’t enjoy.

• Cross country because I liked running through the mud puddle before I went on the gravel.  
• Impact because we are designing new games to go on the court.
• The love art because I liked picking the colours and looking at all of the ideas that we could of picked.

• IXL maths because I didn’t know some of the questions.
• AWS measurement because I didn’t know the kilogram, Gram and tonne.
• Some of the blog posts because some of them I don’t know what to write.

What are you looking forward to next term and why?

Athletics because I like doing the shot put because I made it into Hauraki Plains and nearly Thames Valley so I am hoping that I will get in this year.

The Olympics are going to be held in Rio de Janeiro for 16 days.

Rio de Janeiro is in Brazil and in Rio they speak Portuguese.

Some of the sports are bmx, mountain biking, cycling, track cycling, gymnastics, rowing and others.

These are the sports that are not popular in New Zealand:

Curling and wrestling greco-roman and others.

I am look forward to watching the BMX because Todd from my home track is racing

What I did in the holidays

What I did in the holidays

On the Tuesday, the second week of the holidays I went to jump with Brooke we first went to the foam pit and I did a backflip.

When I bounced off the side wall I was bouncing on each trap each and I didn't make it to the 3rd one.

I jumped on a purple bit but you can't land on them because you can break a bone and I sprained my ankle and it real hurt but I will go there again.

On Thursday, the second week of the holidays

my family went to the lego show and I built a heart with my dad.

After that we went to Motat and me and my mum played some of the games and went on a train.

Then we went to the sky tower and we were watching a woman  jump off it.

When we were coming home we got stuck in 5.00 traffic.

My speech topic is who made the first TV and I chose this topic because I like how things are built and who made them.

It was hard because I have never looked inside a  TV before but after I read a page of how the TV was built and who built it I knew some stuff about the TV.

I changed my topic because I could not find any research of who made the first bike and I didn't know when the first bike was made.

I feel scared about presenting it because I don’t like doing things in front of people.

The hardest part was researching and writing it because I don’t know anything about TVs and presenting  is hard because I am nervous.

billionaire boy

                      

This is the book I am reading it is called Billionaire Boy and I am reading it with the Daffy Ducks.

It is about a boy named Joe he is 12 years old and he is a billionaire but he is fat.

He went to a new school and he did have any friend.  When he was walking through the playground and he saw another fat boy sitting on his own.

When Joe looked at him he smiled back and then he came over and then the bell rang.

They had to go cross-country training and they made friends there.

I like this story because it is exciting and funny.

I recommend this story can be for 6-12 because

I like working with a new group not with my leaning buddy.	I didn't like it when the egg cracked because we lost pontis.	How our boat keeped floating even with the chicken and a ball in it.
Who we created our name. Our name was Wonder of the World.	How the balloons fall down when we were trying to build it.	It was interesting how people got the Immunity Idol necklace.
I like how my group created the parashot for the egg.	How we touched the blue line when we were doing the cup challenge.	What some of the scores were at the end of the day.

Ice skating

Last week I did ice skating, it was fun and I loved it.

First what we had to do we line up and you get your boots and a helmet.

When you have put the boots and the helmet on, you get your gloves and go into the arena and start skating.

When I went in the arena it was set up in a square with blown up edges.

The ice was not actual ice it was like plastic with white flaky things on the ground.

I went good but I fell over about 5 times but it was fun.

For art this term I have been working on a cloud with colourful raindrops.

I was looking at designs for my art.

I found a cloud  that I liked  but I thought it was a bit plain.

I looked further down the page and I saw one with colorful rain drops and decided that I should do that one instead.

With the nails it was quite easy but not the sting because it always came of.

My family

The Queen's birthday is on Monday the 6th of June so on Monday we get a day off but her proper birthday is 21 April.  

Queen's birthday is when all of New Zealand celebrates her birthday because the she is special because she is the Queen of the Commonwealth countries.

Queen's birthday is when she turns another year older.

This year, she will be 91.

We celebrate the Queen's birthday at a different time as the other countries.

Mum is going away and staying with her sister and I might be going to BMX.

In my weekend I went to BMX I came 4th. Two of my friends beat me and one other girl beat me.

I did BMX at Mountain Raiders at the sports grounds were all of the spots clubs are.

I was versing 9-10 year girls. My game was easy and kind of  hard. Next time I am going to pedal down the ramp more times.

What I did in the holiday’s.

On Friday it was my mum's birthday and my dad's parents came over and stayed the night.

On Saturday dad’s parents took us to their house because mum and dad went to an engagement party and we were not allowed to come.

At dad’s parents house on the third day we went to the beach and on the fifth day we made a water slide.

On the last day when we went home we got an ice cream and lollies.

When we got home my mum and dad were not home so I had to get the spare key so we could get in.

After I had finished unpacking my bag mum arrived, I ran out and gave her a hug.

On the first week of the school holidays on Tuesday my family and I went to the movies to watch the Hunt for the Wilderpeople and we got lots of popcorn and we went shopping.

When we went to Kmart I go some pants that are made out of leather and I also I got a t-shirt that has a leather collar.

When I went to the Warehouse I got a nerf gun and and lego friends.

Every day Ella writes in her diary about what happened at school.

She always writes about Peach. Peach is the naughty girl and she is always making Ella get into trouble. Sometimes Ella writes in her diary in the morning because she does not have time at night to do it. Ella got new shoes and they are sparkly and she always wears them to school.

On the principal window screen of his car someone put fake vomit on it.

I like the story because it is funny and interesting.

I would like to read the other ones as well.  

   

The new and old flag

If I voted I would vote for the new flag because it has the silver fern and the four stars but not the Union Jack. I wish that the new flag had the Union Jack on it because the old one did and we need it on the new flag.The Union Jack can also be called Union Flag and Royal Union flag.

• Easter is all about Jesus Christ when he died on the cross then he came back to life on the Easter Sunday.

• The cross on the hot cross bun means when Jesus was hung on it on Saturday.

• Good Friday can be called Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday and also Easter Friday and that is when Jesus Christ Died on the cross.

• For easter I go to BMX for the 3 days. I race on Saturday. My dad raced on Friday and Hannah raced on Sunday. At BMX I have some Easter eggs and the ones that I get for the bunny.
  
• The Easter bunny brings me lots of Easter eggs and a very big one and a lot of little ones

I am 9 years old.

Kellee Louise Cryer.

My birthday is 12 February 2007.

I was born in Dannevirke.

We have a two story house.

My favourite colour’s are light purple and light blue and blue.

I am the littlest in my house and I have a big brother and a big sister.

I have a lot of animal’s. My animal’s are a kitten named Lenny and 2 other cats called Nigel and Floyd.  I have a golden labrador, named Lucy and we have 2 budgies named Sunny and Sky and 3 goldfish called Casey, OJ and Oscar.

I play netball in the winter, race BMX and in my spare time I play Hockey on the concrete at home.

I also go to the skate park to do some jumps.

I like colouring in and writing stories and dancing and singing.

I also like walking up hills with my Dad.

For my BMX I race all around  New Zealand at different tracks.  On Tuesday night’s I go to Cambridge for training and Thursday night’s I also go to Cambridge for club night.  At Easter I race in the NZ BMX Nationals so I am training very hard for it.
